A PA to the chief executive at the learning disability charity Mencap blew thousands of pounds on the company credit card, a court heard.
Asra Yildiz, 31, allegedly splashed £34,768.20 on the card between November 2011 and April 2014.
She was working at Mencap's offices in Islington, north London as the PA to chief executive Mark Goldring at the time, Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court heard.
Prosecutor Sara Ashkboos said: 'The defendant was working as a personal assistant for Mencap UK to the chief executive.'It was an abuse of position, an abuse trust and fraudulent activity over a significant period of time.'Current Mencap CEO Ms Tregelles started as a PA at the charity herself in 1983 before rising to CEO 30 years later.
